The Sea Gypsy Suites 206 East Poplar Avenue
The Sea Gypsy Suites feature family style suites in a 1920's brick building renovated in the Arts and Crafts/Mission style. They are larger than our traditional guest rooms. Vibrant colors, detailed woodwork, tapestry rugs, and decorative details reflect an age when simplicity, good design and craftsmanship were valued.
William Morris Loft
This very private, elegant and romantic loft for two people is located on the 3rd floor and is the entire length of the house. It has beautiful hardwood floors throughout and a cozy window seat complete with over-stuffed chenille pillows for reading. It is decorated with William Morris wallpaper and deep mahogany woods. The bathroom has an extra large tub and shower with a rainfall showerhead. It's perfect for luxuriating in a warm sudsy bubble bath by candlelight. The loft has its own thermostat and can be made refreshingly cool. The large King-size bed makes this suite an ideal place to rest after a long day at the beach. Note: If you are super tall, this may not be the ideal suite for you.

Elbert Hubbard Suite
This large suite is in the front of the house on the first floor. It is uniquely painted in the deep earthly colors of the Arts and Crafts era. It offers a bedroom with a Queen size bed, a kitchenette and cozy breakfast nook and a living room with a striking leather sofa. After a full day of walking the boards, pamper yourself in the Suite's opulent Jacuzzi Tub.

Robert Louis Stevenson Suite
The Robert Louis Stevenson Suite is in the front of the house on the second floor. It has a tranquil bedroom with a Queen size bed and a bathroom with a ceramic tile shower. Ideal for families, it is equipped with a kitchenette and relaxing breakfast nook and a living room with a trundle bed/sofa. Generous in size, the Robert Louis Stevenson Suite has a warm and rustic feel. It has been restored with period stained glass lighting and richly colored walnut hardwood throughout.

John Masefield Suite
The John Masefield Suite is located in the back of the house on the first floor. The living room's warm, luxurious decor make it the perfect place to relax. The bedroom, with Queen-sized bed has a very classic, elegant look. Along with Mission style Antiques, oriental art hangs on chocolate-colored walls. The Masefield Suite has a beautiful deep cobalt blue tiled bath with Majolica Arts and Crafts tile.

Rudyard Kipling Suite
The Rudyard Kipling Suite is located in the back of the house on the 2nd floor. It has a spacious private deck, living room with trundle bed/sofa and an elegant deep green bathroom with handcrafted Arts and Crafts Majolica tile. The bedroom has a Queen-sized wrought iron bed and is decorated in rich gold tones. Late 20th century photographs from local heroine Margaret Mace, adorn the walls.

Emily Dickinson Suite
The Dickinson Suite is located in a first floor cottage. It has a Queen size bed and is decorated in rich browns and turquoise. Relax in the armchairs, dine at the counter height table, or lounge in the whirlpool 1 person bathtub. Guests can also enjoy the flat screen TV from both the sitting area and the bed. This suite is ideal for a couple looking for romance.

William Warner Cottage
This small cottage has a bedroom with two double beds, a private bath and an eat-in kitchen and sitting area. Although it is decorated in the Arts and Crafts style, it has modern amenities such as a flat screen TV, a washer and dryer, and a 1-person whirlpool tub in the bathroom. This cottage has it's own private driveway that will accomodate 2 vehicles.
We provide all bed linens which includes one set of sheets for each bed, pillows and blankets. We also provide 4 sets of towels. Housekeeping, dishwashing and trash removal is the responsibility of the tenants.
