Every fall, Wildwood transforms into a living time capsule for one of the town’s most beloved traditions — the ’50s, ’60s & ’70s Weekend. As the owner of the Sea Gypsy Bed & Breakfast, I can tell you there’s something magical about watching the boardwalk and our little beach town light up with retro cars, vintage outfits, and timeless music.

🎸 A Celebration of Rock ’n’ Roll & Nostalgia

The weekend kicks off on Friday, October 17 with the ’50s Dance Party (6:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.) inside the Wildwoods Convention Center, featuring the legendary harmonies of The Cameos. 🎟️ Dance Party tickets are just $20 and can be purchased in advance at the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce or by calling 609-729-4000. Tickets will also be available at the door.

On Saturday, October 18, the fun rolls into high gear with the Classic Car Show & Street Fair (11 a.m. – 5 p.m.) at Fox Park — a free event where chrome fenders, pastel paint jobs, polished Chevys, and VW vans line the streets like a rolling museum of Americana. The day closes with the big Saturday night concert at 7 p.m. in the Convention Center, starring The Pointer Sisters and The Spinners. 🎟️ Concert tickets are available through Ticketmaster, ranging from $54 to $89.50.

With the soundtrack of early rock ’n’ roll, Motown classics, and live performances echoing through town, you’ll swear you’ve stepped back into a sock hop or a boardwalk dance night under the Wildwood stars.

Live Music That Brings the Decades Back to Life

Each year, the lineup brings together legendary acts and tribute bands that keep the crowd dancing. Whether you’re a fan of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, The Temptations, or the British Invasion era, the concerts capture the best of the three decades. Guests always come back buzzing about the energy — and yes, there’s always a little room to twist, shag, or disco under the stars.

Food, Fun, and Local Flavor

Wildwood’s food scene shines just as much as the music. While you’re here, grab boardwalk classics like funnel cake and Curley’s Fries, or stop into one of our local favorites — Sam’s Pizza, Beach Creek Oyster Bar, or a quick trip to Rick’s for fresh seafood. Between the music, food, and retro energy, it’s a weekend-long block party you won’t forget.

Here at the Sea Gypsy Bed & Breakfast, our guests love that we’re just a short walk from the action but tucked away enough for a quiet night’s sleep after the fun winds down. Our themed rooms offer the perfect mix of Victorian charm and modern comfort. And of course, we’ll have coffee and a homemade breakfast ready to start your day before you head back out to the festival.
